I wanted to add original images in order to make my digipak better, I took pictures of lilies and put them onto my computer in order to edit them on Photoshop. I removed the background and other flowers behind the one below, this is so I could place the flower wherever I wanted it to be placed. I decided to have the flower repeated three times, in the top right and left hand corner and the bottom left hand corner. I did not add any more as I still wanted the roses to come through the back.

 I firstly had the flowers black and white to go with the whole theme of the digipak, however I did not like the effect that it gave, as the flowers looked too plain. I also moved the text around so the 'M' in the 'Embrace' was over lapping the 'M' in 'Pandaman', I did this as I thought that it would make the digipak look more interesting.

In the image below I chose to have the lilies their original colour, however I placed an artistic filter on them to add a cool effect. I thought that making the flowers have colour made them stand out more. I also did not feel like the place for the writing in the image above was appropriate, so I changed them around and moved them to the other side. I then also made the two letters overlap on the 'A' instead of the 'M'. 

As I changed the front cover of the digipak, I then had to also change my poster, this is because the front cover is seen in the poster to promote the album/digipak.

From the feedback I received when carrying out my primary research, there were areas were I needed to improve, therefore I went and modified my digipak. In the image below I placed a 'Includes music video' this shows that the album does include a music video and not just songs. By having this everyone will know that this is in fact a digipak and not just an album.

In the image of the poster below, I added an extra piece of writing, where I wrote 'Includes hit single and music video for 'Embrace This Day'' this shows that the digipak will include a music video, the writing is short and simple to get the point across without any confusion to the audience.

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

I did a question sheet for peers to answer, this is the feedback I recieved:

1: Describe the brand name using two different adjectives: 

Anonymous, animal, interesting and different.

2: What conventions of th form/genre can you clearly see?

Lip syncing, dancing (shuffling / cutting shapes) and a fast pace edit. 

3: What is your favourite shot in the music video?

I liked the dance shots the most as I like that sort of dancing and I think that it really fits in with the genre of the music. I also like the establishing shots.

4: Who do you think the target audience is?

I think that the target audience is for young people, someone who has possibly not found their place is society and is trying to figure out who they really are. An age range of about 15-20 year olds possibly.

I then also carried out first hand research where I asked people face to face and also over the internet, these are the results that I received;

The people that did not like the music video or the digipak, I asked them why, this is a quote from a person that I interviewed:

"I like the digipak, but people would think that it is just an album rather than a digipak. People wouldn't know what they were buying so you should make it more clear."

My subject teacher also mentioned that I have not included original, however I did not include these as the genre of the music is house and it would be inappropriate to include images of nature etc. I would also not be able to get an original image of a panda. 

I have learned that a lot of people have enjoyed the video, however some people did not like it, from the criticisms, I have to decided to go back and improve my digipak and add the areas which people thought were missing.

How effective is your main product and ancillary texts?

My main product (music video) matches the genre of my chosen song, this is shown through the shots and the dancing. The shots show the house genre as they are bright and vibrant. The dancing shows that the song is a house track as the person is cutting shapes, which is a typical dance people do to house songs. The poster for my digi pak also shows that the album is a house genre, this is because all the colours are bright. I used several images of sceneries and places a galaxy image over the top. This made the poster different and more interesting. My digi pak challenges the conventions of a house digi pak. I chose the theme of the digi pak to be black and White with a tint of red here and there. I was inspired by the chase and status album cover. I thought that using this sort of theme would make my digi pak unique and it would make it stand out from other house artists. As usual I added the iconic panda on the cover of the digi pak and the poster, the panda obviously comes from the name of my artist which is 'Pandaman'.
