Hit Me Baby One More Time Evaluation

Hit Me Baby One More Time Evaluation

In media we have been given a task to film the first 30 seconds of Britney Spears' "Hit Me Baby One More Time" music video. We started by analysing the clip and finding out what shots there are and how long each of the shots are. We filmed the music video in a group of people as we needed backing dancers and extras. The filming of the music video took approximately 50 minutes. It took long to film as we had to re-film many of the clips as people were laughing and it looked out of beat. I then imported all the clips onto 'Final Cut Express', and chose what clips I was going to use and what ones would be getting deleted. To get the lip syncing right I had to put marks in specific places of the audio wave of the clip and do that for another clip and then aline the marks so that the lip syncing looked perfect. I found this exercise fairly difficult as I was using new skills and when cutting some of the clips the marks would move and the lip syncing would look out of place.

These two shots were from my remake of the Britney Spears version. These two close up shots of the foot tapping on the table and the clock show the time passing in Britney's life. In the beginning shots Britney looks as if she is bored and waiting eagerly for something to happen. The lyrics "hit me baby one more time' are about a boy. The lyrics are portrayed by Britney's dance moves, she comes across as impatient and eager. The hallway shots show that she is waiting for something to happen, perhaps for this boy to talk to her.
